Line + Rhythm: An expressive ink workshop
Discover how simple lines and marks can become movement, rhythm and energy in this expressive ink workshop. Through a series of playful exercises, you’ll explore how line can communicate the movement of landscape, natural forms and your own ideas. You’ll experiment with pace, pressure, repetition, texture and layering before bringing your favourite marks together into an abstract ink composition.
What you’ll explore:
Creating expressive lines that suggest movement, rhythm and energy
Translating natural forms and landscape into abstract marks
Experimenting with different ink techniques, from delicate lines to bold gestures
Layering, repeating and disrupting marks to create texture and depth
Developing an abstract composition from your own experiments
