Delyth
I’m Delyth Williams, a contemporary painter born and raised in Newport, Pembrokeshire. After a career in commercial interiors, I returned home to follow a new path — one rooted in creativity, connection, and a deep love for the coastal landscape that has always felt like home.
Now working from my garden studio in Newport, I spend my days painting, walking with Olive — my adorable springer spaniel — and swimming in the sea whenever I can. The coastline is where I feel most grounded and at peace and it’s this connection to the sea and the land that fuels my work.
Colour is at the heart of everything I create. My paintings are known for their confident use of vibrant colour, bold geometric shapes, and layered compositions. Each piece is inspired by places that hold strong childhood memories — from cliff-top paths and quiet coves to the ever-changing light on the sea.
Through my work, I try to capture not just the beauty of the Pembrokeshire landscape, but the energy, rhythm, and emotion that come with being close to nature. My art is both a personal reflection and an invitation — to pause, reconnect, and find joy in colour and place.
